How to Add Networks

  • Updated

In the PDX title pages metadata tab, users can add multiple network tags for a given title. This data will be printed out on the Generic Title XML which is covered here.

As the name indicates, the network consists of how the title is distributed (streaming platforms, tv channels, etc). This article will cover how networks can be added in PDX.

In order to add networks, the user must first navigate to the title page. Most common method is via the global search bar. Once the title has been found, users will want to click on the Metadata tab.

Once there, Network will be a customizable field at the right hand side of the metadata tab. If a Network already is assigned, users will see them listed out.

Click on the blue plus button to add a new network. Fill in the appropriate text field and click on Add.

Users can add multiple networks. There is no limit, but these networks must be added one-by-one

These changes will automatically be applied once Add is clicked on.

Generic Title XML

Each network will be printed out in it's own ExtendedAttributes tag in the Generic Title XML.

The only customizable value is stored within <value></value>. Everything else is predetermined based on the order of entry or predefined fields (such as title ID) that's stored by PDX.
