In PDX, the user has two options for receiving notifications, by email and within the user interface. This article will provide information regarding further details on the type of notifications, and where a user may subscribe to more notifications and share others.
Types Of Notifications
Email Notifications
Depending on how the user setup notifications around an item in PDX under “Settings Management”, the user has the option to receive email notifications for filters and alerts.
Users can utilize existing filters or create custom filters for assets in Media Portal. Users may also share to other users, allowing them to receive alerts for those filters.
Under Settings Management, the user has multiple tabs that enable them to set up a variety of notifications.
These options include:
- Items in the Work Dashboard
- In Progress Order Items
- In Progress Tasks
- Completed Dollar Amount
- Order Items
- Asset Ingest Status
- Media Portal
- Media Portal
- Filters — Assets
- Wishlists — All Wishlists

InApp Notifications
When navigating the PDX User Interface, one of the primary ways of receiving notifications is in the upper right of the UI, shaped like a bell.
If there are new notifications, a number will appear above it, indicating new notifications. If the user clicks on the notification bell, depending on the notification, it will navigate the user to where the notification was triggered.
