Users have the ability to create orders for various titles in their library to be delivered to multiple retailers.
In this article, we will cover:
To create a order through the UI, from any page in PDX, go to the left navigation tray and click on "Create Order". If the tray is minimized like the below screenshot click on the first icon with a plus (+) symbol.
Creating an Order
Users will then be redirected to a “Order Details” form, where they can either opt to manually fill in the required fields or upload an order template. This can be toggled under Input data.
If using a template, please refer to the following article for instructions on how to create a standard order.
When creating orders manually in the UI, fields marked with the red Asterisk (*) are required. Please note that only Standard Orders can be created manually, and these title pages need to first be created in PDX.
TitleLite Orders can only be created by XLS template upload. For assistance with creating TitleLite Orders, click here.
- Provider — Name of Provider
- Platforms — Platform(s) order items are for.
- Requested by — Who the order is requested by.
- Due Date — When the order needs to be completed by.
- Order Date — The date the order was requested.
- Order Number — User provided internal tracking number.
A user can make an order urgent by toggling the switch on the upper right of the form. Please refer to internal SOPs when determining when to mark an order urgent.
- Billing Party — Party or company getting invoiced for the order.
- PO# — User provided tracking number for internal invoice purposes.
- Tags — A keyword(s) filter to help identify the order.
- Order Description — Short description of the work order is for.
Internal order forms can be attached by clicking the browse button highlighted below.
Please note that the accepted formats are .jpg, .gif, .PDF, .xls, .xlsx, .doc, .docx, .XML, and .pdf and the maximum file size is 5MBs.
Adding Order Items
Once the order details have been filled out, users can move on to the next section — order items.
Use the “Type” dropdown menu to choose the title content type. (e.g., features, promo, bonus, etc.)
Then search for the title of the order item in the Title Name field. This is a required field and must be selected.
Next, if a title has a vendor ID value, it will auto-populate. However, if standard operation's procedure is to add a value, this can also be done.
To the far right of this section, users can also add an existing order template. These templates will automatically add a specific set of deliverables to this order item.

Once all the required fields are filled out, clicking on “Add” will finalize this order item and add it to the order. Once added, users can continue to add or adjust values pertaining to this order item such as billing, package type, etc.
To the right of this, please select the Package Type for the order item when applicable:

| Avail | Package that sends avails info to a retailer. |
| Bookends | Package for pre-roll and post-roll. Pre-roll being anything that occurs before the title, such as a “Previously On” for a TV show. A post-roll is anything that occurs after a title, such as a dub card. |
| Bookends - General CTA | For providing a general, broader, “call to action” video. |
| Bookends - PSE Warning | For providing a photo sensitive warning |
| Bookends - CTA | For providing a specific “call to action” video. |
| Bookends - Certificate | Anything that prefaces or preludes the content. Certain territories require certificates to play at the beginning of content in order for it to go live. |
| Bookends - Custom Warning | For providing a non-legal warning (such as sexual abuse or drug abuse) |
| Bookends - Dub Credit | Dub card featuring the voice actors’ names and roles |
| Bookends - Logo | Certain studios or providers have their logos play at the beginning or end of titles. Ex. HBO, Disney, etc. |
| Bookends - Preview | For providing a sneak peek of an upcoming series, episode, or movie |
| Bookends - Product Placement | For informing the viewer that the content includes product placement |
| Bookends - Promo | A teaser or trailer for other content to play at the head or tail of a title. Ex. A teaser for the next episode, or a trailer for another title on the same platform. |
| Bookends - Rating | A rating card to let the viewer know what a title is rated. |
| Bookends - Recap | For providing a summary of a previous season or episode |
| Bookends - Trailer | For promotional purposes |
| Bookends - Warning | For providing a legal warning card (such as a smoking warning required in India) |
| Component | Package for multilingual file deliveries with external assets. For example, a feature with a variety of subtitles for multiple territories that will not be burnt into the title. |
| Extras - Bonus | “Extra Type” is used for extra or bonus content that can be standalone, but is typically related to another content item such as a movie, TV Show, TV Season, or a TV Episode. |
| Extras - Dynamic CTA | Dynamic Promos and CTAs are assets which are intended to be replaced or swapped out after delivery to Platform. These assets are delivered to Platform containing a KAIROS ID. |

| Film | Film is a visual storytelling medium that uses moving images and sound to convey narratives, emotions, and ideas. |
| Film - Concert | Film-Concert is a live event where a film is screened with its musical score simultaneously by a live orchestra. |
| Film - Pre Order | Refers to advance purchase of a movie before its official release. |
| Film - Short | Movie with a shorter duration than a feature film, typically under 40 mins. |
| Fitness Instructional | A video or session that teaches proper form, technique for various workouts |
| Fitness Modality | A category of physical activity offered by Apple Fitness + (example: Yoga, Dance etc…) |
| Fitness Program | A structured series of workouts designed around a specific goal, such as building strength, flexibility, etc. |
| Fitness Story | A narrative driven session that combines story telling with physical activity to engage users during a workout. |
| Fitness Trainer | A certified professional who leads workouts on Apple Fitness + |
| Fitness Welcome | An introductory session that familiarizes new users with a particular workout type and what to expect. |
| Guided Run | Audio-only video: An audio led outdoor running sessions with coaching and motivation from fitness trainer. |
| Guided Walk | Audio-only video : An audio led walking experience often featuring inspiring stories, etc. to accompany outdoor walks. |
| Meditation | A session led by an expert to promote mindfulness, relaxation and mental well-being. |
| Metadata | Packages send metadata such as cast, crew, synopsis, etc. to a retailer. |
| Movie Bundles | Collection of multiple films sold together, often at a discounted price, typically grouped by theme or studios |
| Non-Component | Package sends titles with burnt in language assets into the original language version of a title. |
| Non-ComponentDub | Package of items with burnt in dubbed audio and forced narratives. |
| Non-ComponentSub | Package that burns in subtitles into the original language version. |
| Play Sequence | Play sequence should follow this specific arrangement: pre-roll, post-roll, worldwide, followed by pre-post for the US, and finally, pre-post for India. |

| Program Episode | An individual installment of a multipart documentary series, each focusing on a specific aspect of the overall subject. |

After selecting the package type, users can repeat the above steps to add more order items. When all the order items have been added, click the Finish button on the lower right-hand side, to create the order.
If the order was created successfully, the user will automatically be redirected to the new order.
From here, users can add additional deliverables and tasks to their order.
