Moving Deliverables

  • Updated

Occasionally users may run into scenarios where some deliverables are ready for delivery while others are straggling behind. In situations like this users can opt to separate order items by moving deliverables into another order item.

This article will provide instructions on how to move deliverables between order items.

To move deliverables, while on the order item, select the deliverables that need to be moved:

Next, click on the Actions dropdown, and select Move:

A pop up window will ask for confirmation if the selected deliverables should be moved. Click Yes

Users will then be prompted to either create a new order item or select an existing order item for the selected deliverables to be moved to.

Note: Although deliverables can be moved to all orders for the title, if the order was created via a order integration to ensure callbacks are maintained per client expectations these deliverables should be kept within the same parent order. They can be moved to another order item as long as it shares the same parent (order number)

Deliverables can be moved to an existing order item by selecting one of the options in the menu and clicking Move.

If creating a new order item, PDX will automatically generate an order item ID. By default the new order item will inherit the same Platform as the original Order.

The platform will default to match the order item that the deliverables are being copied from. If the platform needs to change, click on the next to the platform name and select a new platform from the dropdown.

The due date will default to today's date. To change the due date, click on the field and a calendar will appear to select a new date:

Once both values have been verified, click on Move to finalize this change.

If the deliverables were successfully moved, a green confirmation will appear on the top of the page and the deliverables will appear under the new order item.

On the history tab of the ORIGINAL order item, users will be able to identify which deliverables were moved to which order item and when this change occurred.
