In this article, we will cover how to create order templates in the UI. Order templates provide a faster, easier way for end users to create orders with a common set of deliverables and tasks.
Instead of filling out each and every deliverable for an order, users can simply use a default order template to automatically fill out deliverables for an order item.
To navigate to the Order Templates page, click Order Templates in the left-hand navigation bar.
On this page, you will see a list of all existing order templates. To filter the list, click the filter icon located in the top-left corner of the page.
Once the filter icon is clicked, users can refine the results using one or more of the following options located in the top-left corner:
- Provider - Provider name template is associated with.
- Platform - Platform name template is associated with.
- Name - Name of the Template. This field is required to create an order template.
To create a new order template, click Add Template in the top-right corner of the page.
To add deliverables to your template, click on Add/Remove Deliverables in the top right corner:
A pop-up will appear for you to select which deliverables are needed for the template. For more information on deliverables, see here.
Once the user selects the deliverables, they will be prompted to complete the relevant fields for each selected item. After filling in all required information, click Save at the bottom of the pop-up window to confirm and add the deliverables to the template.
Language: Select the language for the deliverables.
Territory: Select the territory applicable to this deliverable.
Tasks: Assign any tasks required for this deliverable.
Create Deliverable Per Territory: Select this option to create a separate deliverable for each selected territory.
Child Of – Specifies the parent deliverable that is associated with.
Is Dependent – Indicates whether the current deliverable is dependent on the parent deliverable.
When adding multiple deliverables, users can also define if one deliverable is a child of another. Once the parent/child relationship is defined, users can set if the child deliverable is dependent on the parent deliverable:
Once the Save button is clicked, the deliverable is added to the new template. At this point, the template can be saved, or additional deliverables can be added or removed as needed.
Under Languages, Territories, and Tasks, there is an option to add or edit item template information:
Once all deliverables have been added, the following fields can be filled to distinguish each template. Click Save Order Template at the end of the page to complete the process.
- Template Name - Name of the Template. This field is required to create an order template.
- Provider - Provider name template is associated with.
- Platform - Platform name template is associated with.
The newly created order template will now appear on the Order Templates view. Templates can be edited or deleted by clicking the pencil icon under the Action column to edit, or the recycle icon to delete the selected order template.
