PDX stores and displays metadata for all territories in which a title is availed. Metadata can be localized for different territories in PDX, meaning that the metadata differs from territory to territory depending on what has inputted into PDX. Metadata can be localized for a title, short synopsis, long synopsis, rating, and/or release date.
This article will illustrate how different localized metadata appears in PDX.
NOTE: Metadata in PDX will default to the Original Spoken language and Country of Origin set for that title if there are no other values populated to indicate otherwise.
To see the complete list of the available localized metadata by language and territory, navigate to the Summary tab in PDX.
Users can select either the Languages or Territories hyperlinks to be redirected to the Metadata Summary View.
The following program has an Original Spoken Language of English (en). If this title is availed in Portuguese Brazil (pt-BR) the default language for the metadata will be English (en) unless if a different language, such as Portuguese Brazil (pt-BR), is specified when importing the metadata.
The Localizations tab will display all the various localized metadata per territory and language. In this example, if the user searches for Portuguese Brazil (pt-BR) in the Language text box, the user can see that for this specific title, only the Short Synopsis has been given localized metadata.

For this same example, if a user filters to the territory Mexico (MX), the user will see that a localized rating has been inputted for this territory.
