An order is the Provider's ability to kick off the delivery process through Premiere using PDX. PDX helps facilitate the smooth transition of asset ingestion and the completion of desired tasks all the way through to the delivery of assets to the desired platforms and endpoints.
PDX orders also include the ability to deliver assets to other encoding and/or translation facilities, as well as monitor the overall progress.
A Platform is defined as the delivery end point. Most of the time this will be the entity through which the end user will consume the Title.
By selecting the Platform field, users can scroll through and choose from all possible platforms supported by PDX. If a user has a platform, they wish to deliver to but is not currently available, the desired platform may be added to the system.
