In this article, we'll be going over the All Assets page in PDX, while also providing information on all fields and what they can be used for. From the All Assets by Status page, users will be able to see all assets in PDX that are pending action.
The information is organized by status and by number of days it has been since the asset was ingested into the system.
Above the table are two buttons, Standard and Media Portal. Standard represents a top-down view of all the assets inside a table. The Media Portal view provides the user with a look at the assets similar to the usual Media Portal page that references the same assets being ingested.
The Media Portal view allows users to utilize the advanced filters and options to drill down deeper or collect specific assets in different ways.
Below the View options is the Asset Ingest Table. On the left of the table, one can find the statuses of the pending assets.
- Needs Title — Assets that need to be associated to a title
- Needs Metadata —Assets that are missing asset metadata after the introspection
- Needs Mastering —Assets that require extra processing from Mastering
- Triage — Assets we cannot work on and have been sent back to Client Services.
- Pending Delete — Assets that are pending hard delete from our archive.
- Pending Delete Soft -The Assets are pending a soft delete. This means the assets and metadata remain in our achieve, but the title and assets are set to inactive.
- Unmanaged — Assets that are not managed.
To the right of the Status column's cells are corresponding numbers of assets still pending action. Clicking on any non-bolded numbers will take users to the corresponding Assets by Provider page.
On the upper right of the Ingest page is a gray button with a filter symbol.
When clicked, a new menu will appear that allows filters to be applied to all search results to narrow down and refine what assets to see by Keywords, Provider, Status, and Date Range. Multiple of each filter can be chosen at one time for more refined results.
- Keywords — Any keywords associated with the file (e.g., Title, order number, asset type etc.).
- Provider — Service or studio assets belong to.
- Status — Status of asset.
- Date Range — Timeframe assets were ingested in.
