Navigating through PDX, there are various filters for parsing through data and fine-tuning each view to match the user's needs. This article will define the various filters and filter functionality found throughout the UI.
Types of Filters
The three types of filters a user will find across PDX are:
- Quick Filters - Filters across the top of the page.
- Filters in the Filter Drawer - A user will see a filter icon in the top right corner of the page.
- Advanced Filters - Offers multiple filter options for a detailed search.
Quick (Top of Page) Filters
With Quick Filters, each of the text box at the top of the page can be used for narrowing down the data available within each dashboard.
Note: Multiple filters can be applied all at once, as shown below.
Under Quick Filters, there are two types of fields that can be used to filter:
- Open Text filters - These allow users to fill out any value the user may choose, and PDX will use that data to match against existing data. To remove these filters, simply delete the values entered.
- Dropdown filters - Dropdown filters allow users to select one or multiple values from a dropdown menu. To remove an item from this filter, simply click the "x" next to that value.
Filter Drawer
The other type of filter is signified by a filter icon, such as on the Asset Ingest dashboard. This will cover that type of filter's functionality.Clicking on this filter icon will bring up a filter drawer.
Once the filters have been entered. Click the blue-colored "Apply" button when the desired filters have been entered.
If the user wishes to remove all data entered or restart with a fresh search; at the very top of the filter, click "Reset" to clear all data, or push the "X" at the very top to close the filter drawer without applying a filter.
Advanced Filters
Users can do a detailed search and set filters based on their requirements by using various options. It offers a comprehensive solution to filter out data from a vast pool of information. All the filters can be cleared by using the 'Clear All' button if required.
Note: Users are able to customize their dashboard via the Advanced Filters when on the order items dashboard. More information about this functionality can be found here.
The various options available under the Advanced Filters include, but are not limited to:
- Filename,
- Provider Asset Type (type of asset),
- Original Release Title (title name),
