There are 3 types of Orders available in PDX:
- Standard Orders - If the delivery requires delivering both title and asset data.
- Title Lite Orders - If the delivery does not require asset metadata for the delivery
- Asset Lite Orders - If the delivery requires minimal title data / title does not exist in PDX
Once the use case has been determined, users can go to the Order Creation page and create an order.
-
Standard Orders
- Require a dedicated managed title to be created via Template or UI.
- Assets under this type are ingested into PDX. Files must also be associated to the order item.
-
Asset Lite Orders
- Requires a dedicated managed title to be created via Template or UI.
- Assets under this Order type do not need to be ingested into PDX and files do not need to be associated to the order item.
-
Title Lite Orders
- Does not require a dedicated managed title to be created via Template or UI.
- Assets under this order type are not ingested into PDX, and files do not need to be associated to the order item. The order/order items/title will be created via the order template. But please note, titles created in this way are ONLY searchable via Order/Order Item/WIP dashboard.
One of the key differences between the 3 order types is how they interact with a dedicated managed title. In PDX, a dedicated managed title is a title created within the system that has the necessary associations, metadata, and associations to it.

Users are able to filter by Order Type on the Orders View Dashboard.
From the Orders view, clicking on any of the orders in the given table will direct users to their Order Details page. By default, it will navigate users to the “Deliverable & Tasks” tab.
Order Type can be changed after an order has been created. To do so, navigate to the "summary" tab and update the Order Type field.
