Navigating Asset Ingest

  • Updated

In this article, we'll cover how to Navigate the Asset Ingest page in PDX and provide information on all fields.

Assets By Status

Here, users will be able to see the number of assets currently pending under columns that show how long they've been pending. For more information on All Assets by Status, click here.

On the left, the row headers show the status of the asset.

And on the upper right of the Ingest page is a gray button with a filter button that allows users to drill deeper into the data by targeting what they need.

Filtering

When clicked, a new menu will appear that allows filters to be applied to all search results to narrow down and refine what assets the user wants to see, by keyword. Examples include the title or file name, a list of available provides, the statuses under the status column, and the date range they were provided.

Once a user clicks on any number within the dashboard to drill down to more information. This takes them to the Assets by Provider page.

Assets By Provider

Clicking on any of the numbers on the dashboard will direct the user to that bucket of assets listed by the Provider.

The user should be able to see the number of assets pending, by provider and file type. Users can continue to click on any number to drill down further.

Clicking on any non-bolded number allows users to see all files of that type from the corresponding provider. The Asset list will appear at the bottom of the page, along with new buttons that allow users to update metadata individually or in bulk.

Throughout each Assets Status bucket, the user may see various action buttons available

Please refer to the following pages for more information on the various status pages:

Action Buttons

To the Right of the Screen, above the list of assets, are multiple buttons. Depending on the Status bucket chosen, the user may not see one of the following buttons:

  • Clicking on the one with the magnifying glass icon allows a user to type in and search keywords to more easily filter through the search results.
  • The arrow pointing to the side icon is the CSV Report button. Clicking on it allows the user to download a report with all information on the asset by provider page.
  • The trash can icon will delete assets selected.
  • In some menus, there is a button that allows users to commit changes that can be made on the Asset page. For example, if the user is allowed to select the Asset's Type or Title, it may save for that row. But changes won't be finalized until the user commits the changes.
    • A user can change multiple rows before committing changes. The action button should display a counter of how many changes.

Under Needs Metadata, when one or more assets are marked with the blue checkmark, two more icons appear.

The Publish button will make changes permanent in PDX and move asset selected out of queue after an automated workflow assesses changes.
