Within PDX and all its dashboards, users are given the ability to save and share filters. Filters allow users to narrow down the results of the page to easily find specific orders, order items, tasks, assets and more.
This article will go over how users can:
Save filters
Currently, users are able to save filters on the following pages: (Click any of the below links for instructions on navigating each page)
In Work Dashboard
Using the Work Dashboard as an example, users will see the filter tray nested by default on the right of the page. Users will see the current filter display in Orange, and the filter tray is highlighted in Blue.
Note: In order to save a filter, there must be one or more fields selected and/or changed from the previous filter settings.
Once all filter fields are selected, users will need to first Apply these changes, assign the filter a name, and choose the save button.
Once the filter is saved, users can easily toggle between saved filters via the filter preset dropdown highlighted in orange.
Demonstration
In Order Items or Media Portal
Saving filters can be done in the same manner for both the Order Items dashboard and Media Portal Dashboard. In order to save a filter, there must be one or more fields selected.
Users can fill out either of the fields in the first row of Order Items dashboard or use the Advanced Filters tray to the right of the page. Both options are available by clicking on the buttons highlighted in Green.
Once the fields have been selected and applied to the page, users will need to reopen the advanced Filters tray and give the filter a name.
Once saved, users can switch between their saved filters by expanding the filter preset tray.
Share filters
Sharing Filters through Settings Management
Sharing filters will allow users to collaborate with other parties with a shared view. The easiest way to share existing filters is to navigate to the filter settings management page located under the user's profile.
The below example demonstrated how to share filters from Settings Management's Work Dashboard tab.
Users may also navigate to the Media Portal tab to share filters and Wishlists in the same fashion.
Sharing Filters Through the Advanced Filter
On pages such as Media Portal, users can share filters directly from the Advanced Filter tray.
To do this, the user must first open the Add Filter side menu.
Under Saved Filters users will need to click the ellipses(…) adjacent to the saved filter they wish to share. This will open a popup with several options.
If the user would like to Share the Filter, they will want to click “Share Filter”. A new pop-up menu will appear that will ask the user to provide the names of whom they'd like to share this filter with.
Multiple users can be selected.
Once all names have been added, the user can proceed with this share by clicking Accept. If the share was successful, a prompt will appear at the upper part of the PDX Menu like following:
Manage filters
Within PDX, users are now able to easily pull up all their existing filters across various dashboards in a centralized location. The method to get to this page various depending on the dashboard, and additional information can be found at the end of this section.
However, filters can generally be managed from the Settings Management page, where users can also share filters. In this page, users will see different tabs corresponding to the page where the filter is applicable. Here, users are able to easily rename, add/remove 'Shared with' details, and delete existing filters.
Navigate To Filter Settings
If on the Work dashboard, users can access the filter settings management page by clicking on the gear icon in the filter try.
If on Media Portal, the filter settings management page can be accessed by clicking on the (…) icon to the right of an existing filter.
If on the Asset Ingest — Media portal page or Order items dashboard, the filter settings management page can be accessed by first expanding 'Advanced Filters' and by clicking on the gear icon.
